TQL’s Tech Solutions for Load Management, Tendering and Tracking

To better facilitate our truck brokerage service, TQL invests heavily in the improvement of our technology offerings. Our expansive IT department develops and supports tools that enable our employees to do their jobs more efficiently, while offering clients and carriers unique value-added solutions.

  • Complete Load Management
We developed an in-house load management program. As our core internal application, it serves as a database of information on our clients and carriers and manages all aspects of our Logistics Account Executives’ daily operations including: order entry, carrier selection, dispatch, routing, tracing and reporting. It is fully integrated with our accounting system, FMSCA, PC Miler and Dun & Bradstreet. Because the system was built internally, it can be customized and regularly updated to meet our clients' changing needs.

  • Advanced System Integration
Our load program can also easily be linked with our clients’ internal order management and load building software. This connection, called Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), is an automated way to share data such as load tenders, proof of delivery documentation and invoices by electronic transfers between both systems. By eliminating manual data entry and processing, EDI offers clients the benefits of decreased input errors, shorter ordering and faster payment cycles, increased employee efficiency and strong supplier relationships.

  • Web-based Shipment Tracking
Also available to clients is our secure web-based portal for tracking and managing shipments called the TQL Client Load Management System (CLMS). With CLMS, clients can track and trace multiple shipments, consolidate orders and build truckloads as well as view on-demand performance and activity reports. A similar web portal is offered to our carrier network so that they can view available truckloads, post their empty trucks and manage their invoices.

  • Invoicing and Payment
Finally, in addition to or separately from the above features, TQL offers clients electronic invoicing and bill pay. Clients can elect to receive their invoices via e-mail, with or without electronic copies of the Bills of Lading attached, and sign up to pay their accounts via Automated Clearing House (ACH or direct deposit).
